The Texas Tech basketball team went wire-to-wire as being a ranked team during the 2025-26 season.
Texas Tech finished the season ranked 21st in the USA TODAY Sports coaches poll, released Tuesday. This is the lowest the Red Raiders were ranked throughout the season, reaching as high as 10th earlier in the year.
The Red Raiders finished 23-11 on the season, identical to the team's record in Grant McCasland's first year as head coach, and made the NCAA Tournament for the third year in the row. Texas Tech got a win over Akron and fell to Alabama in its March Madness experience.
Texas Tech will now turn its attention to the transfer portal and putting together the team for the 2026-27 season.
