The Texas Tech women's basketball team added another player from its backyard.

The Lady Raiders earned the commitment of Frenship's Jada Jackson, a 2027 four-star forward who announced her decision Wednesday on social media. Jackson is rated as the No. 2 player in Texas and 21st overall by 247 Sports. She is ESPN's 30th-ranked recruit.

The 6-foot-2 Jackson was the Avalanche-Journal's Super Team defensive player of the year as a junior. She averaged 17.8 points, 13.0 rebounds, 2.2 blocks, 2.1 steals and 2.5 assists. She earned spots on the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches all-state team and the Texas High School Coaches Association's Super Elite team for Class 6A.

Jackson's commitment comes on the heels of Monterey's Ambrosia Cole signing with Tech. Cole will be a freshman this season for the Lady Raiders, who are coming off their first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2013. Tech beat Villanova 57-52 for the program's first March Madness win since 2005, before bowing out to host LSU in the second round.

Jackson helped lead Frenship to the regional final the past two seasons, the first consecutive trips in program history. The Tigers will drop to 5A and into a 10-team district this year.
