Ohio State women's basketball is entering the Big Ten tournament as the No. 5 seed and will be playing in the second round for the first time since 2020.

Over the past four seasons, the Buckeyes have earned a double-bye into the tournament as a top-four seed. Ohio State blew its chance to keep the streak alive by dropping three of its final five regular-season games, causing the Buckeyes to fall two spots in the standings.

Minnesota defeated Illinois 78-73 on the final day of the regular season, shutting the door on the Buckeyes' last chance to move up in the standings.
