Wisconsin basketball will look to avoid being the latest upset in a No. 5 vs. No. 12 seed game when it faces High Point in the first round of the NCAA Tournament on Thursday, March 19.

It won't be an easy matchup for the Badgers, either. High Point finished the season with a 30-4 record and won 22 of its last 23 games en route to winning the Big South Conference Championship.

Wisconsin fans likely aren't too familiar with High Point, despite the Panthers reaching the NCAA Tournament in back-to-back seasons. High Point's former coach, Alan Huss, left the school before the 2025-26 season to be the top assistant at Creighton while also being named Greg McDermott's successor.

High Point fell to No. 4 seed Purdue 75-63 in the first round of the 2025 NCAA Tournament, its first appearance. It'll be looking to force an upset this time around.
