Monday, June 15, marks the one-year anniversary of the Boston Red Sox's shocking Rafael Devers trade with the San Francisco Giants.

365 days later, there don't appear to be any clear winners of the deal yet, as both teams and the centerpiece have struggled recently.

Including the postseason, the Red Sox are 82-79 since the trade. Their lineup has collapsed without Devers, especially in the two-hole and at third base/DH, failing to effectively replace him. They lost Alex Bregman in free agency over the offseason and his replacement at the hot corner, Caleb Durbin is batting below .200 with a .568 OPS.

It’s officially been one year since Rafael Devers was traded to the Giants fresh off a sweep of the Yankees at Fenway Park.

Boston got a good return for Devers at the time, but quickly botched it by trading Kyle Harrison and James Tibbs III. Only one of the four players the Red Sox acquired from the Giants, pitching prospect Jose Bello, is still with the organization, and he's currently in Single-A.

Meanwhile, San Francisco has been one of the worst teams in baseball since the trade, going 69-93 since landing Devers. Devers has been a disappointment in his first 162 games for the Giants, batting .235/.323/.438 with 2.1 WAR and a whopping 209 strikeouts for them after slashing .273/.346/.501 in his Boston career.

Not surprisingly, San Francisco might already be looking to trade him.

Devers is 29 and under contract through 2033, however, so the Giants could be stuck with him and his big contract for a while. And given how bad Boston's offense has been without him, both teams might like a redo if given the chance.
