Born and raised in Atlanta, Caleb Wilson had massive levels of hype surrounding him as he took the next step in his life from Atlanta to North Carolina.

Up until February, his talent seemingly deserved all of the hype as he became one of college basketball's most exciting prospects.

Wilson fractured his hand in early February and was out indefinitely. Wilson's college career officially came to an end on March 6 when it was announced that he needed season-ending surgery to repair a broken thumb.

As debilitating as that injury and recovery may have been, it did nothing to affect his draft hype as the Chicago Bulls selected Wilson with the fourth pick in the 2026 NBA Draft.

Just who did the Bulls draft? Here's a look back at the former Atlanta preps star and his journey from Holy Innocents' Episcopal School to Chicago.

One of the best to come out of Atlanta in recent memory

In an area that's seemingly always loaded with great basketball talent, Wilson found a way to make himself standout during his four-year high school career.

Wilson averaged double digits throughout his high school career, including 16.2 points per game as a freshman. He saw his lowest points total as a sophomore but averaged more than 20 points per game as both a junior and senior.

His senior season proved to be his best as Wilson averaged a career best 21.6 points and 11.1 rebounds. Most importantly, he led the Bears to a 27-4 record and their first state championship.

For his high school career, Wilson averaged 19.1 points and 11.7 rebounds. As a junior, he nearly recorded a rare quadruple-double in a win over Druid Hills where he finished just one assist short.

247Sports ranked Wilson as a five-star recruit and the No. 8 player in the 2025 class. He was ranked as the No. 3 power forward and the top player in Georgia.

Wilson would commit to North Carolina on January 24, 2025, choosing the Tar Heels over Kentucky.
