While their quarterfinal loss in Hoover this past Friday night was certainly not what most expected, did the Alabama Crimson Tide still remain in the driver's seat for a potential double bye following the SEC Tournament defeat?

Well, according to the latest NCAA Tournament projections from D1Baseball on Saturday, Alabama is still squarely in the conversation for a top eight seed. D1Baseball currently projects Alabama as the No. 7 overall national seed, and for the Crimson Tide to host a regional, as well as a super regional, should they advance past the opening weekend.

In the Tuscaloosa Regional, D1Baseball currently projects Alabama to be joined by Jacksonville State, UCF, and Long Island.

Following the SEC Tournament loss, Alabama's record now sits at 37-19 overall (18-12 SEC). The Crimson Tide are essentially considered a lock to host a regional, but should they receive a top eight seed, it would potentially be the first time Tuscaloosa would host a super regional since 2006.

The full NCAA Tournament bracket will be revealed this upcoming Monday, May 25, at noon ET on ESPN2.
