Seriously, YOUR TEAM HASN'T BEEN TO A BOWL GAME IN OVER 9 YEARS!!!! Do your research before you talk smack about U of A's rival.

Well, to be fair it's basketball season in us Arizona fan's world right now.

A sport in which you guys are the equivalent of UofA Football.

Yeah, but we aren't talking smack about UA basketball, because then we'd just look stupid.

Actually no. ASU hasn't been to the NCAA tourney since 2003. UofA hasn't been to a bowl game in 9 years. ASUs basketball program is healthier than UAs football program if you are measuring by reaching the post season.

Furthermore Sendek seems to have ASU headed in the right direction, while Stoops seems stuck in the mud at around 5 wins a year.

Is it against the law to like both schools?

Im not at all envious of ASU mens hoops team.. If you didnt realize.. Were talking basketball here.. ;)

U of A basketball's program is pretty impressive - when compared to ASU.

If you're talking basketball in the Pac-10 there is UCLA and everybody else. U of A is just a blip on the radar compared to that historic program.

If UofA is just a blip, then what does make ASU? lol

We're not even on the radar even though we've been to 12 tournaments.

In the Pac-10: Oregon, California, Stanford and Arizona each have one title while UCLA has 11.

UofA kept the PAC-10 afloat in the decades of absence UCLA .. No denying that..

I really find it funny that ASU fans keep talking about football in here. Is it ok if I point out that Arizona leads that series?

Yeah, but that's only because of the domination through the 1900-1930's...... Arizona State University has had the better football program.

You seem to be forgetting the 80s as well.

One decade in how many ASU has been a university? Take out their record vs. Tempe Normal and we'd be on top.

"However, since becoming an official university in 1958, Arizona State has the overall lead in the rivalry series with a record of 28 wins, 21 losses, and one tie."

That's the last 50 years, which means more to me than the Wildcats' record against a teacher's school in the early 1900's. ;) Weren't Harvard and Yale dominant programs back then?

And ASU finished last in the Pac-10 last year and will be right around there this year as well while Arizona Football is middling around the middle of the conference since you want to look at recent history. And Arizona has gone to the postseason more in football than ASu has in hoops since both schools joined the Pac.

UofA Football is a joke, but so is ASU Basketball.

Furthermore Sendek seems to have ASU headed in the right direction, while Stoops seems stuck in the mud at around 5 wins a year.

The jury's still out on Sendek. He never did anything noteworthy at State and ASU showed zero improvement last year and is awful again this year. All he's done is land one good player and he had to hire his high school coach to do it.
