COLUMBIA — When does MiLaysia Fulwiley make her return to Colonial Life Arena? When does Jordan Lee face her old team in Austin?
The SEC provided answers on Aug. 11 with the release of the 2026-27 conference schedule.
South Carolina women's basketball and coach Dawn Staley open SEC play on Dec.31 against Alabama. The season includes marquee matchups set for Feb. 21 against LSU and Jan. 3 at Texas in addition to the other games against high-level programs like Vanderbilt, Ole Miss and Oklahoma.
The Sooners and Gamecocks will battle twice as part of the annual home-and-home that was previously announced earlier this summer.
For Fulwiley, who spent her first two years with the Gamecocks, it'll mark her first game back in Columbia after transferring to LSU before last season. For Lee, she'll play Texas for the first time since transferring this past April.
Staley won her 10th regular season conference title this past season but fell short of her 10th SEC Tournament championship as the Gamecocks lost to Texas in the title game.
South Carolina was the only team in the conference to lose just one SEC game in 2025-26 as Oklahoma upset it on the road in January with an overtime win. Staley got revenge in the NCAA Tournament, beating the Sooners in the Sweet 16.

As of August, the full non-conference schedule hasn't been finalized but there is a decent number of games on the calendar.
