Missouri basketball finalizes 2026-27 schedule, including full home noncon slate

Shortly after the SEC announced the league slate for all of its members Monday, Missouri men’s basketball filled in the last remaining gaps on its slate and revealed its full 2026-27 calendar.

Mizzou will open Year 5 of Dennis Gates’ tenure in Columbia with a home game on Nov. 3 against Cleveland State, which is the coach’s former school. That is one of seven previously unconfirmed home games in November and December that put the finishing touches on MU’s 32-game schedule for this coming regular season.

Missouri, which has five neutral-site games and one road contest against high-major opponents on the docket in nonconference play, also added matchups at Mizzou Arena against SIUE (Nov. 9), Alcorn State (Nov. 18), Le Moyne (Nov. 20), Evansville (Nov. 24), Arkansas-Pine Bluff (Nov. 24) and Chicago State.

The Tigers also confirmed that this year’s Braggin’ Rights matchup against Illinois will take place Dec. 20 at Enterprise Center.

Mizzou also is set to face Saint Louis (Nov. 6 at Enterprise Center), Marquette (Nov. 15 in Chicago), Kansas (Dec. 6 at T-Mobile Center) and Nebraska (Dec. 12 at T-Mobile Center) in neutral sites this year. The Tigers will go on the road to play Indiana on Dec. 18 in Bloomington, and Gates’ team will host Pittsburgh on Dec. 1 for the ACC/SEC Challenge.

Over the course of the 18-game SEC slate, Mizzou will host Texas A&M (Jan. 5/6), Kentucky (Jan. 9), South Carolina (Jan. 16), Alabama (Jan. 26/27), Ole Miss (Jan. 30), Tennessee (Feb. 6), Oklahoma (Feb. 16/17), Arkansas (Feb. 23) and LSU (March 6) in Columbia next year.

MU will travel to face Arkansas (Jan. 2), Tennessee (Jan. 12/13), Oklahoma (Jan. 19/20), Vanderbilt (Jan. 23), Mississippi State (Feb. 2/3), Florida (Feb. 13), Auburn (Feb. 20), Georgia (Feb. 27) and Texas (March 2/3) in conference play.

The slate includes games against 15 teams who made the NCAA Tournament last year.

Missouri will face UNLV in a preseason exhibition on Oct. 29 in Las Vegas.

Missouri was expected to face Howard this year in the final leg of a three-game series, but it appears as though that game has been postponed to a later year.
