We have to draft a QBOTF.
Most will say a new head coach will want his to develop his choice at qb. Well, the Bears drafted Williams and fired their head coach AFTER his rookie year. Williams took his lumps with a sub par roster.
Ben Johnson has done a fantastic job in one off season and training camp.
However, their GM attacked the needs of their o-line. They stacked their rb room. Drafted a TE even though they had Kmet and suddenly have one of the best offenses in the league.

So do we stay the course, let Brissett mentor a rookie while filling the holes on the o-line and at running back? If those additions don’t get us contending for a playoff spot then we hire a new head coach.

I think this is the way we will go. Gannon and his staff will have 1 more year, mainly because Bidwill doesn’t want to pay another staff. He will justify it pointing to many injuries and close games. Additions to the roster and returning players will give Gannon what he needs to develop a winning team. Brissett will be our qb. Depending on injuries or how the season unfolds our QBOTF could be starting by week 10.

Not saying this is the route we should take but I just don’t see Bidwill firing the entire staff.

I'm not sure what the answer is but one thing is certain. It will likely be the wrong answer if MJB is making the decision.

Al Davis and the Raiders had their "Commitment to Excellence".

Odds are Michael Bidwill will piss down his leg. Again.

It's his "Commitment to Incontinence".

No choice now but to take a shot with one of the developmental options. The cap means the Cards pick up a couple of extra choices, so this looks probable.
