Titans coach Robert Saleh isn't sweating Cam Ward's early struggles during June's OTAs.
By all accounts it's been a rocky start to voluntary practices for the Titans' second-year quarterback, but Saleh has remained confident as Ward continues to grow into Brian Daboll's new offensive scheme.
"I'll put myself out there, I think it's very safe to say that we've got a really, really, really good quarterback and we're in good hands," Saleh told reporters on June 11.

Ward went 12-for-22 with a pair of touchdowns and an interception on June 10, per Tennessean beat writer Nick Suss, primarily practicing against a secondary which was without most of its top defensive backs.
But Ward's early inconsistencies aren't without reason, Saleh said. Not only is he adapting to a new offense, the Titans have also looked to challenge Ward throughout practice, throwing him different defensive looks in order to best prepare him for Week 1.
"Daboll does a great job. They're scripting (practice) in a way that gets the entire offense better," Saleh said. "We're making sure that he gets a chance to see every single look ... We're trying to make sure that he sees everything."
Last season Ward showed flashes of potential as he completed 323-of-540 passes for 3,169 yards with 17 touchdowns and five interceptions. The Titans went 3-14, securing the No. 4 overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft which was used to select a new weapon in the pass game, Ohio State wide receiver Carnell Tate.
Alongside Tate, Ward's bolstered receiver room includes a healthy Calvin Ridley and offseason acquisition Wan'Dale Robinson, leaving high expectations for growth in his second season.
"I think he's been great. This is the time of year where he's got to try some things," Saleh said. "He's got to see what he can and can't do."
