Tonight, at 8 p.m. ET, marks the start of the 2025 NFL draft. What time, though, will the selection process begin for the Carolina Panthers?

As the first-round order currently stands, the Panthers will be making their top pick from the eighth overall position. That, of course, could change given the preference of general manager Dan Morgan—who has repeatedly hinted at his desire to trade down off the spot.

If that's ultimately the case, then we're headed into some unknown territory.

"I don't really wanna get into specifics on where I would want to trade back to, but we're definitely open to trading back and acquiring more picks," Morgan said during his pre-draft press conference last week. "I think we're gonna be open to all possibilities—let's put it that way."

Thanks, Dan.

But if the Panthers hold, when should you be prepared to park yourself in front of your screen?

What time will the Panthers pick tonight?

For reference, we can look back to Carolina's NFC South rivals in the Atlanta Falcons—the owners of the eighth overall pick from the previous three drafts.

Last year, the Falcons selected University of Washington quarterback Michael Penix Jr. at 9:08 p.m. ET. The year before that, they took University of Texas running back Bijan Robinson at 9:14 p.m. ET.

So the sweet spot for the Panthers, if we really want to be safe, should range from 9:05 p.m. ET to 9:15 p.m. ET.

Accounting for the 10-minute time limit for each first-round pick, we can estimate that they'll be on the clock at approximately 9:00 p.m. ET.
