Tonight, at 7 p.m. CT, marks the start of the 2025 NFL draft.
What time, though, will the selection process begin for the Houston Texans?
As the first-round order currently stands, the Texans will be making their first pick at No. 25. That, of course, could change given the preference of general manager Nick Caserio who has reportedly been in the market for a trade up for a specific offensive lineman.
But if the Texans hold, when should you be prepared to park yourself in front of your screen?
For reference, we can look back to 2024, where the Green Bay Packers were the owners of the No. 25 overall pick. The NFC North favorites and host of the upcoming NFL draft selected University of Arizona offensive lineman Jordan Morgan at 10:12 p.m. CT. The year before that, the Buffalo Bills took University of Utah tight end Dalton Kincaid at 10:17 p.m. CT.
So the sweet spot for the Texans, if we really want to be safe, should range from 10:12 p.m. CT to 10:20 p.m. CT.
Accounting for the 10-minute time limit for each first-round pick, we can estimate that they'll be on the clock at approximately 9:00
