It's the final showdown between two of the best.
Tonight, Randy Orton takes on John Cena for the WWE Heavyweight Championship. These two have been battling it out since the start of the century and 25 years later, they approach the final match. At least that's what it's billed as.
Obviously anything can happen in World Wrestling Entertainment, so the two foes could meet up again, but tonight at Backlash, it's being billed as the final match between the two.
And that's not all. WWE's first premium live event has something for everyone. And we'll be there for every RKO, every Attitude Adjustment and any finishers that people will certainly kick out of tonight.
Backlash takes place Saturday May 10, 2025.
Backlash is slated to start at 7 p.m.
Backlash will be held at the Enterprise Center in St. Louis.

Backlash will be streamed on Peacock with premium or premium-plus packages. The show will also air on traditional pay per view. The cost is $44.99.

It's possible. It sounds like the former WCW champion is working his way into shape to have one last match. He does have some issues with GUNTHER, who is taking on Pat McAfee. Perhaps he'll show up.
He's not advertised, but he has to be mad at Cena. Cena made him look like an idiot last month. He has to want vengeance. Perhaps Cena will see some Backlash from his WrestleMania performance.
Another wrestler rumored to show up soon is Jeff Cobb. Perhaps he could get involved in one of these matches tonight. Cobb is a fantastic wrestler, if he shows up, it will be a big boost for WWE.
Tonight, WWE is holding premium live event that doesn't include Roman Reigns, Cody Rhodes, Seth Rollins, CM Punk, Jey Uso, Jimmy Uso, Paul Heyman, Charlotte Flair, Rhea Ripley, Iyo Sky, Bianca Belair, Jade Cargill, Chad Gable, Rey Mysterio, Bronn Breakker, Tiffany Stratton, Bayley, Liv Morgan, Logan Paul and a bunch of other superstars who are key players in WWE. And the card is still loaded. The five-match card has stars up and down the lineup, it's not like they're missing anything. WWE is rolling right now.
