it's REALLY tough to choose between the Jacke FG (does anyone else remember Craig Weilihan throwing a 30 yard TD on 4TH AND 20 with 25 seconds left to tie that game?)... the "DOMINATION IN DALLAS" (still have that Sports page with that title and a huge picture of Jamir Miller CRUSHING Troy Aikman)... the Panthers game which was probably the most SHOCKING Cardinals game ever, I mean flat out domination, as a road dog... the Eagles game, which I KNEW we were going to win, but which I cried at... or the sheer RIDICULOUSNESS that was the Packers game.

Really, they're all up there... the SD game was our first taste of success... the Dallas game was beating up the bully... the Panthers game shocking... the NFC Title game heaven on earth and the Dansby ending, the most ridiculous ending to a game I've ever seen (and the best spontaneuous multiple level crowd explosion of all time).

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wt6uOV1zkew

I mean, there's three different levels of scream here: Level 1) Before the play starts, people screaming just to scream, most of us with barely any voice left 2) People somehow getting their voices back screaming INCREDIBLY loud as Rodgers gets hit and 3) EAR-PIERCING EXPLOSIVE SCREAMING as people realize Dansby has the ball and is going to score.

That play is my favorite PLAY of all time. That I can say with complete and utter certainty. I can just listen to the sound without and the picture and sit back and smile, smile, smile.

I do. At first I couldn't believe it, I was speechless, then I remembered it was the Cardinals so it was par for the course. What I didn't expect was Metcalf returning the kickoff to mid-field setting up the winning FG.

I picked the Packers game. I was gone for the most of the playoffs at sea but while we were in port down in Vera Cruz Mexico I was able to watch this game. Man I wish I could get my hands on the playoff games. I would love to watch them.

I chose the Dallas playoff game because it's the one game I never ever thought the Cards would win. I was just delirious after that game for weeks

Atlanta and NFC Championship game, because I was there, are a close second

I'm a cowboys fan so I have a few very memorable ones(both good and bad). this year's loss was pretty bad lol.

My favorite cards game from an unbiased POV has to be the superbowl game...that was awesome and they probably should have won that one.

The NFC championship game. No need to mention the year since there has only been that one. I remember feeling like there would be more appearances to come in the near future. I still feel that way but my confidence has definitely wavered over this last year.
Whenever I start feeling real bad and like these are the same ol Cardinals, I go back and watch highlights of that game.

that was a great game. that's when i became a true believer in those cards that year. It's a shame they lost in the SB. I wish that they called a jump ball to fitz at the goaline rather than throwing to boldin in the middle. The ravens repeated that mistake the other day LOL!

NFC Championship vs Philadelphia

Hands down my favorite game ever. It was amazing. I still get chills when I think about it. What an awesome, awesome time to be an Arizona Cardinals fan.

Playoff game in Dallas back in 98.

That one's right up there. Watched it at home with my dad and brother (both Eagles fans). We went crazy. My sis was not present. Good thing, lol.

I'm surprised more Arizona locals haven't voted for the win in Dallas. That season was my first as a football fan where I really experienced the highs. I'd followed the game since the 60's but until we got our own team it was never that big a deal if the team I cheered for won or lost. We'd had years of thinking the "lows" were normal as Phoenix/Arizona Cardinals fans but none of us really knew how good winning could feel. That game in Dallas changed all that for me.

NFC championship game was the most amazing game I've ever been at in any sport. The place was just pure joy...something I never, ever thought I'd see.

NFC Championship.

Only because of the one play. Where Nobody can be sure if he did get "both"
feet down. No End Zone foot level camera.

NFC Championship. I don't think anyone in the stadium left for hours and hours. We just couldn't leave.

But that 2008 Cowboys game was pretty great. Dallas was supposed to be the hottest team in the NFL (aren't they always until they have a losing record?), and I had to sit next to 2 cowboy fans. We were up early, but at the end Romo had come roaring back and tied it.

Then they won the Overtime coin toss. The guys next to me said, 'it's over!'.

Cards D held them - they lost yardage. Go to punt - I can't see cause I'm not as tall -- but I hear the roars. Then I hear the victory explosions. And the Cowboy fans whirled, picked up their stuff, and hightailed it out of there.

I was laughing and saying, 'what happened? what happened?' for two minutes -until I was able to see the replay. I swear every Cowboy fan literally evaporated in 60 seconds.

Carolina. I couldn't sleep after that game and all I could think about was how happy the guys must have been on the plane coming home.

I knew in my gut we'd win the Championship the next week. But the moment it hit me that we were really, truly going to be in the Super Bowl was absolutely wonderful.

So hard to pick really! I did pick the NFC Championship game though. Like many have already posted, the emotion and the energy in UofP was something I had never experienced. I just could not believe how powerful those emotions were. I can honestly say nothing has ever brought be that type of flood of emotions besides when my son was born.

The Panthers game has been my knee jerk answer when asked this question before. What a game and what a statement. Before that I had always held onto the Chargers game. I was at the game and just remember thinking "no way, we are going to the playoffs!!!!" and then the next week to smash the Cowgirls..........awesome!

NFC Championship game, and it isn't even close. Yeah the win over the Panthers, the playoff win over Dallas, and to me in the Midwest that 2003 win to knock Minnesota out of the playoffs were all special, just not as special as beating Philly and getting to the Big Dance.

I still remember Brian Baldinger on NFL Playbook previewing the Eagles playoff game, "I think Andy Reid will have something for them." Yeah, Baldy, and the Cardinals had something for him and McNabb and the vaunted Eagle defense. Thanks for the memories! I think I'll go dig out that video tonight and watch it again.

The only downer in '08 was falling just short against the Stealers in the Big Dance. When Fitz was sprinting into the end-zone I was elated, then the balloon was popped. :(

Of the list presented I would have picked the NFC championship game but I did other. I think the Super Bowl game should have been one of the choices. I mean we were in the SUPER BOWL. Who would have thought that?

The list is only games since the team has been in Arizona. Go back a few years and include the 1975 game against the Washington Redskins when you had the Jim Hart to Mel Gray game tying Td pass that was very controversial. Gray dropped the pass but the refs said he caught it. Cards won in OT and won the divsion that year.

12/27/97: Cardinals 16 Chargers 13 -

I'll never forget that game, first real taste of success, and I was there. I remember rushing the field at Sun Devil Stadium and getting a piece of the field. (Seemed like a good idea at 15) I was definitely a fan before, but that year made me a lifer, for better and for worse.
