What do we do with Marvin Harrison Jr?

He simply refuses to play through defenders. Soft, lazy, and dumb player. Honestly I make the Mike Floyd comments but would probably rather have Floyd tbh.

I wouldn't say he's lazy. He's just a big puss and doesn't attack the ball or the defender.

The Fox Sports broadcaster was the used car salesman that gave Marvin the nickname "Maserati Marv".

Unfortunately for us, Maseratis are not very reliable and known for expensive clutch repairs.

So far, this Maserati has not been solid at clutch time.

Not sure what this Maserati's trade-in value is, but Monti should check Kelly Blue Book.

Million dollar question.... what to do with Marv? We have to keep him for through his contract year 4 to see what happens with the proper support.

Look, he is not the gererational talent that almost every analyst projected - catches too much with his body, doesn't run crisp routes, isn't quick or fast, and looks like his confidence is shot. Tack on the incompetence of the OC plus whatever happened to the OL (losing OL coach to Dallas?) and you can see that Marv just never had a chance.

I think he can be a solid receiver if there was also a competent offensive coordinator, there is a solid running game, and we figure out how to make the OL better.

Remember when everyone was like "Wow, he can field catches from the jugs machine, what a badass". Jokes on us.

They need to put concrete anchors on his feet in catching drills and make him do push ups whenever he tries to body catch. And he should probably take up boxing or muay thai to not be so averse to physicality.

I assume he knows that he needs vision correction, but perhaps they're all just for fashion?! It's almost inconceivable that he knows he needs glasses but isn't wearing contact lenses or doing anything else to correct it on the field.

That used to be a thing. I will never forget OJ Mayo suddenly wearing glasses at draft time and when people finally asked his people if he needed glasses they admitted it was just part of his new image and the lenses were not corrective.

Yeah I don't know. he's better this year than last year but he's still nowhere near what I expected.

I've been pretty clear I think if the market is high enough we should trade him.

Last year he was just barely over 50% catches to targets, 62 out of 116 This year he's 41 for 72 so the percentage is better. but that could just be the QB change I don't know what the breakdown is Kyler to JB for Marv.

For me it depends on who the OC is next year. if it's Petzing I don't see the point keeping Marv he's proven his offense doesn't use both Wr's just 1 of them. If it's someone else, and please not Stefanski, then I guess you keep him and hope the next guy can figure it out.

Disagree. For what he costs, there is no reason to trade him for a bag of magic beans. He can play even if his play is disappointing at times. Getting rid of MHJ at this point in time does not make a bad roster, better.

It appears to me he's jumping so he can "body catch" the ball. If he don't jump he has to catch it with his hands. Which is what he should be doing but doesn't trust his hands for some reason.
