The Chicago Bears are gearing up for the start of organized team activities (OTAs) this week at Halas Hall, where veterans and rookies will come together for the first time ahead of veteran minicamp in head coach Ben Johnson's second season.

We’re through the first waves of the offseason with free agency and the 2026 NFL Draft in the books. And while things are about to quiet down a bit, there’s still plenty of action ahead for the rest of this offseason and heading into training camp.

Here’s a look at the Bears’ upcoming 2026 offseason schedule:

OTA workouts: May 27-29, June 2-4

The Bears will meet as a team, new rookies included, beginning May 27 for the first of six voluntary OTA practices at Halas Hall, which will include veterans and rookies. They'll meet May 27-29 and June 2-4

Mandatory minicamp: June 9-11

The Bears will hold their mandatory minicamp from June 9-11. This marks the final organized set of practices before training camp in late July.

Training Camp: Late July

After a summer break, the Bears will meet back at Halas Hall for training camp in late July (dates to be announced) to mark the official start of the preseason. This will mark Ben Johnson's second training camp as head coach, and it sounds like we can expect some more joint practices.

Preseason: August

The Bears will play three preseason games beginning in early August. Chicago will host one game at Soldier Field and play a pair of exhibition games on the road.

Regular season opener: Sept. 13

The Bears will kick off the 2026 regular season against the Carolina Panthers on the road. It will mark the start of the second year of the Ben Johnson era, where Chicago is looking to get off to a strong start after their impressive 11-6 season where they won the NFC North and a wild-card playoff game. This game will feature a battle of former No. 1 picks in Caleb Williams and Bryce Young.
