Well, look on the bright side, we'll have the #2 overall pick in the draft

With this pitching staff, namely the bullpen, we'll continue our skid to the bottom. I don't think we'll fall past the Braves, but after tonight's loss, we're even with the Rays & Reds, with only the Twins a game and a half worse than us outside of the Braves. Without the ability to hold a team to less than 10 runs, we'll quickly overtake the Rays, Red & Twins for that #2 slot.

Maybe we can re-draft J.B Bukauskas

this team is really bad, really really bad. The pitching is not MLB quality.

Won't matter because whoever gets picked will be traded for garbage.

ARZ needs to take best SP available. The last couple of years they've loaded up on RP type players. They aren't going to spend $$$ on top of the rotation FA so the draft is the only way. If they want to fix bull pen right away they could go after Chapman and Miller but if management is saying they probably won't re-sign Hudson then we may be going with prospects in the bull pen next year which may not be a bad thing because at this point it can't get much worse.

With a starting pitching staff (with the exception of Greinke) routinely giving up 4 or 5 runs in 5 innings in most games and four relievers (2 of whom get shelled) in most games, we don't deserve to be in the Major Leagues.

So the major problem are the starters behind Grienke. The next problem is the bullpen, whose problems are caused by the starters behind Grienke.

And the next problem is a batting order playing half of its games in a hitters' park that is decent on the road and horrible at home.

There it is in a nutshell. And that falls on the Pitching coach and Hitting Coach, then works its way up.

From a broader perspective, as an Executive, Tony La Russa is a helluva Manager. The Peter Principle -- in a hierarchy every employee tends to rise to his level of incompetence. TLR didn't just rise to it, he raced to it. He is in way over his head.

Can Ken Kendrick afford to clean house of his inexperienced Executives? Based on their performance, that needs to be Step 1. But just as the Suns are stuck with Sarver calling the shots, so are the D-backs with Kendrick. Untalented owners.

'Hate to say it, but both home teams are beyond repair. And are prime candidates to be bought and moved elsewhere. It's sad!

And this offense is just blah too, middle of the road, nothing exciting. With a healthy Pollock we're still not even a .500 team.
