I finished it and I actually loved it. I got a friend to watch it and she loved it too. There's a Filipino model she follows on Instagram that has been putting lots of stuff about this show on her page and it sounds like there's a bunch of "influencers" like her pushing the show that's really helping.

The scene at the dance where Wednesday dances has gone viral, lots of people are posting videos of themselves doing the dance.

Ortega is terrific.

Yeah. On 7th episode. It's a very Harry Potter type show, but good in its own right.

Although one thing about the dance scene is she had covid with minor symptoms and didn't tell anyone. Apparently many of the people filming were pretty upset

Never should have happened. I am sure the network or producers had a hand in that. I am sure the pressure is enormous on a new show. She should have said no.

About the only complaint I have heard about the show had nothing to do with the show itself but the behind-the-scenes issue with Ortega showing up the day of the big dance scene when she was feeling ill - and eventually testing positive for Covid.

OK. Anybody else having a hard time getting into this season? Watching this with my daughters and they said the same thing. Also, I have already stated this but the casting of Luis Guzmán is one of the worst casting mistakes of all time. Gomez and Morticia are supposed to have chemistry and magnetism. I don't see it or buy it for a microsecond, they are on screen together.

Came here to post it not getting into this season at all so far. I think Guzman is one of the writers or something on the show too.

Also for me the kid who plays Pugsley just bugs me for some reason.

Bride and I just finished season one and liked it a lot. Took me two episodes before I really got into Wednesday, but after that, it was a fun, crazy ride. A number of little inside jokes made it fun, too.

Had no problem with Luis Guzman as Gomez. Not only am I a big fan of his (he has like 170 movie credits), but he actually looks more like the original Gomez from the newspaper cartoon than did Raul Julia or John Astin from the movies/TV (IMHO, of course).

Really looking forward to season two.

P.S. The humor and style of Wednesday was no surprise considering that Tim Burton and Danny Elfman (Beetlejuice) played major roles in the production.

Finished up season two last night. Although a bit different from season one, still very, very good. I give the series 4 out of 5 stars.

Some notable good, and bad......
The season two finale was really outstanding. Even my bride, who is generally pretty stoic about such things, was on the edge of her chair. The part where Enid and Wednesday exchange bodies was notably goofy, but quite enjoyable, nonetheless. The multiple plot lines kept things fresh, and were minimally confusing. Being a Lady Gaga fan, her small part was wickedly fun. And the crashing end of Dort was perfect, I thought.

The only real downside for me was that by the end of the series, Wednesday was really beginning to grate on my nerves. I hope they flesh her character out a bit in the next season with her hunt for Enid/Alpha Werewolf (mid to late 2027). I get it.... Wednesday is who she is, but broadening out the character a little would be a good thing, methinks.
