The video of a priest putting holy water as a blessing at the Pittsburgh Steelers' Acrisure Stadium a week ago went viral.

Then when the Baltimore Ravens' kicker, Tyler Loop, missed a game-winning kick at that end in Week 18, it got even more attention.

It wasn't quite what it seemed, though.

This wasn't the case of a fanatic priest who loves the Steelers.

Why did a priest put holy water on Steelers' end zone?​

This is actually a tradition, according to ESPN's Brooke Pryor.

This is something that happens when a field gets re-sodded. The blessing put on the field is to avoid injuries.

It has nothing to do with one team or the other winning a game.

That wouldn't stop Steelers fans from believing that the divine was on their side.

But if that's the case, the Wild Card Round could be tougher. Since it's the same field on Monday night as it was a week ago, there was no new blessing.

Will the week-old holy water still have the same effect for the Steelers?
