England captain Ben Stokes, celebrating his 35th birthday at the home of cricket, walked in with the hosts reeling at 55-5. He and Harry Brook added 39 valuable runs, briefly steadying the innings and giving the Lord's crowd a glimmer of hope on a difficult afternoon.
Jamieson found the outside edge of Stokes for 12, and Williamson produced a stunning response at second slip. The New Zealand veteran dived low and to his right, taking the catch one-handed in front of first slip to send the England captain back to the pavilion on his birthday.

England's batting collapses at Lord's
Jamieson was the chief destroyer, removing debutant Emilio Gay for 8 at slip, clean bowling Jamie Smith through the gate, and dismissing Stokes for the key wicket of the day.
Nathan Smith trapped Ben Duckett LBW for 19 after lunch, while Will O'Rourke accounted for Jacob Bethell and Joe Root.
Harry Brook stood tall amidst the carnage, as he was the only English player to score a half-century in the match. Ben Duckett and Shoaib Bashir were the team's second and third-highest runscorer.

Lord's pitch turns out to be a graveyard for batters
New Zealand bowlers tormented the English batting lineup and sent the entire team back to the pavilion in less than 40 overs, with only 140 runs on the board.
However, the Kiwi top order also crumbled like a house of cards as England took four wickets for just 12 runs. Ollie Robinson breathed fire at the Home of Cricket as he picked up three wickets in the final session of the day.
The star-studded New Zealand top-order, featuring Tom Latham, Devon Conway, Kane Williamson and Rachin Ravindra, were sent packing inside the first seven overs.
