SHARON – Bryson Galloway won’t forget this District 10 tournament.
Day one was notable enough. An overtime win scored the North East junior’s 100th career win.
His following act, however, somehow made that historical victory a distant memory.
Galloway was one of four Erie County high school wrestlers who won an individual title Feb. 21 at the 2026 District 10 Class 2A boys’ championships. He defeated a former PIAA medalist in the semifinal before avenging a recent loss in the 133-pound final, winning one of the tournament’s deepest weights at Sharon High School.
“It motivated me at practice all week,” Galloway said of last week’s loss. “Get some different moves in there, get some different takedowns… Come in ready to scrap and ready to be atop the podium.”

Galloway avenged last week’s loss in the Section 1 finals with a 7-2 win by decision in the D-10 finals. The junior won his semifinal match by major decision after squeaking out a quarterfinal win which doubled as the 100th of his career.
Union City senior Van Ward won the 107-pound title via 10-3 decision in the finals. Cathedral Prep sophomore Kamdyn Borrero won at 139 pounds with an 8-4 final decision and Corry senior Owen Nickerson won the 285-pound class with a 1-0 triumph in the final.
Cathedral Prep won the team title with 170 points, finishing distantly ahead of runner-up Grove City (128). Wes Phipps of Grove City won D-10 Coach of the Year and Union City's Will Burgess won D-10 Assistant Coach of the Year.
