A great double play. Now it's up to the Pipsqueak to shut it down with 2 out and a runner on 3rd.

And, luckily, Bracho did get the third out. A 1-run game.

Salas’ ERA this month is 47.25. I’m going to say that’s not very good.

Doolittle rode in on the cart. Let's see if he can do little. :)

As BB said, Pollock tried to do too much and struck out on a high hard one.

Souza is now on at 1B.

And that's the ol' ball game. I was hoping that Ahmed would come through against the lefty, with Souza stealing 2B.

Time for GoldSchmidt to tee off against some minor leaguers in Reno.

Well the only good thing that came out of all this is that every other NL West team lost also. So no harm done.

No “good thing” came of the loss. It’s still a loss. But I know you really meant, “at least we didn’t allow the rest of the division to gain ground.”

Looks like we are conceding this one to Scherzer. Avila behind the plate, no Pollock, and Goldy still hitting third.

And no Souza either.

Why don't we just play the batboy and ballboy as well as the senior guys sitting down the lines who catch foul balls . . . and bat them 4-5-6-7.

I know we are not going to hold on to 1st place too much longer but, after watching the Suns tank all season, this is very frustrating.

Thank goodness I can continue to put my heart into the 3-time Champion Phoenix Mercury, a team that neither tanks nor concedes, even when key players were out.

Well, the next batter popped up and then the next one struck out.

That just might be a pretty good pitcher out there that they are facing.

Goldschmidt, good Lord.
Stare at two obvious strikes then swing at some crap way out of the zone for yet another three pitch strikeout.

There's something wrong with him. Maybe he needs to see Dr Schwartz and get some Lasik.
