The Golden State Warriors had a great start to the second round of the playoffs on Tuesday night as they defeated the Minnesota Timberwolves 99-88 in Game 1.

Both teams had a slow start to the game but the Warriors were able to dominate both the second and third quarters to build a sizeable lead that they were able to hold onto to grab a crucial victory.

Of course, this came after their superstar point guard Stephen Curry left the game early in the second quarter due to a left hamstring strain.

With Curry sidelined, Jimmy Butler, Buddy Hield and Draymond Green were able to step up to will the Warriors to a victory on the road as they stole Game 1.

Despite this, all Golden State can do now is wait for Curry’s MRI on Wednesday to know just how significant his hamstring injury is.

Before the Warriors have released any updates from Curry’s MRI, they received a crushing update regarding Curry’s injury.

According to ClutchPoints’ Brett Siegel, the Warriors are bracing for Curry’s hamstring injury to be a multi-game absence.

Of course, Curry has had another incredible season and playoff run and without him on the court, the Warriors chances of advancing back to the Western Conference Finals will take a major hit.
