I think gambling on events you are a part of is a level of corruption that goes beyond anything else, this goes from politics to sports, the crimes of the steroid era are nothing in comparison to players who gambled on baseball. Alive or dead, Pete Rose should be viewed as fallen hero.

IMO, the only reason the league has changed their stance is the league getting in bed with the sports books. Hard to justify banning Pete Rose for life when you're offering +300, plus a 50% boost if you refer a friend to bet on Ohtani to hit a dinger!
