Despite the nature of the Golden State Warriors' deflating blowout loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves, there was no shortage of action in Game 2 on Thursday night.

Draymond Green was at the center of one of the most contentious moments in the game, as the former Defensive Player of the Year was hit with a technical foul in the second quarter for a physical altercation with Wolves big man Naz Reid.

The referees reviewed the incident, and they decided to call a technical foul on Green for hitting Reid on the head with an elbow. The Warriors veteran clearly wasn't happy with the decision, which prompted a heated reaction from him.

Steph Curry, who was forced to sit out this game due to a hamstring injury, had to get involved as Green went off on the referees. Curry got off the bench to try and calm Green down, which didn't really have much of an effect on Green and his angered state.

After the loss, Warriors head coach Steve Kerr was asked by reporters to comment on the incident involving Curry and Green. Kerr described Curry as a "coaching presence" on the bench before the game amid the former MVP's injury, and this was exactly the type of role Curry played in Game 2.

"He was great," Kerr said. "He sat a couple seats down. We talked a couple of times during the game, and he was talking to all the players.

"Yeah, I mean, I don't know exactly what he was saying to the guys, but it's very comforting having him on that bench for our guys."

Unfortunately for Curry, he has no other choice but to watch the next couple of games from the bench as he continues to recover from his troubling hamstring strain. The Warriors said that they will re-evaluate Curry after a week, which gives him a small chance to play in Game 5 on Wednesday.

As for Green, his technical foul in Game 2 was his fifth in the playoffs, which now has him just two techs away from an automatic one-game suspension.
