Nobody would have predicted Sam Darnold and Drake Maye to be the two quarterbacks in the Super Bowl this year.

Darnold struggled in the first six seasons of his NFL career before finding his feet with the Minnesota Vikings.

Having moved to Seattle last summer, the 28-year-old has now established himself as a top 10 QB in the league.

The New England Patriots drafted Maye with the third overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft and have already developed him into a superstar.

He will be looking to emulate Patriots legend Tom Brady by bringing another Lombardi Trophy back to Boston.

Ahead of Super Bowl LX, Hall of Famer Warren Moon has predicted which quarterback will play better on Sunday.

Warren Moon believes in Sam Darnold more than Drake Maye at Super Bowl LX

While most NFL fans would agree that Maye is the superior player, Moon expects Darnold to have the better Super Bowl LX.

“He’s doing it with his arm, he’s running the ball when he needs to, and he’s making good decisions right now,” Moon said to TMZ about the Seahawks QB.

“I think it’s going to carry over to the Super Bowl.”

As for Maye, Moon praised his scrambling in the playoffs, but his “arm hasn’t been nearly as dangerous” as Darnold’s.

The nine-time Pro Bowler then added that Darnold could “steal the show” at Super Bowl LX if his “hot streak keeps rolling.”

Warren Moon blames New York Jets for Sam Darnold’s slow start

Warren Moon also shared his theory on Sam Darnold’s struggles at the start of his NFL career.

As many have suggested before, Moon blamed the New York Jets’ “dysfunctional” inability to develop a quarterback.

“If you’re not put into the right situation with the right groups around you, then you might have a tough time with the start of your career,” Moon explained.

“I think that’s what happened with the Jets, a very dysfunctional organization to this day.”
