Candidates chosen by Simeon Pincus and Josh Rosenfeld

Poll will close Sunday at 11:59 p.m.

EMMA ANDERSON

Hillsborough

Freshman

Pitcher

The rookie right-hander helped re-elevate the Raiders into a state power after two rebuilding campaigns, leading Boro to the Skyland Conference Raritan Division title and the finals of the Somerset County and Central Group 4 tournaments. Anderson pitched every inning for the Raiders, going 24-3 with a 0.87 ERA, walking just 25 and striking out 270 in 177 innings. That included 12 shutouts and a no-hitter.

RILEY BOBROWSKI

Watchung Hills

Senior

Pitcher/shortstop

The four-year starter and three-year ace is making her third straight first-team All-Area appearance after helping the Warriors to a third straight Skyland Delaware title, its third straight North 2 Group 4 state sectional championship, and its first Somerset County Tournament crown since 2003, coming two hitters from a perfect game in the final. Bobrowski, who will pitch for Villanova, caps her career going 17-2 with a 0.93 ERA, fanning 243 in 120 innings, while hitting .371 with eight doubles, a triple, four homers and 20 RBIs from the leadoff spot.

ALYSSA COLLINS

St. Thomas Aquinas

Senior

Outfield

Arguably the GMC’s most improved hitter, Collins raised her batting average from .222 to .523 and increased her hit total from 12 to 46. The senior’s stats also included a .648 slugging and 27 runs scored. She will continue her career at Morgan State, where she plans to major in biochemistry.

ALEX HSU

North Hunterdon

Junior

Shortstop

It was a record-breaking year for the shortstop and 2026 CN Softball Player of the Year, who hit 16 home runs to set the Skyland Conference single-season record for the North 2 Group 3 champs. Hsu, who was limited to just a handful of at-bats last season because of injury, returned as the offensive spark for the Lions, batting .505 with three doubles, two triples, and 16 longballs and 43 RBIs. She scored 39 runs, stole six bases and walked six times.

CHRISTINA LEE

East Brunswick

Sophomore

Pitcher

Lee took over in the circle as the Bears’ ace in 2026. Compiled a 17-9 record, a 2.89 ERA and 160 strikeouts in a GMC-leading 167 innings. Also ignited the East Brunswick offense from the leadoff spot, batting .388 with 38 hits, 35 runs and 26 stolen bases.

ISABELLA MARUSIAK

Bound Brook

Senior

Pitcher

Arguably the top pitcher the Crusaders have had this century, the four-year ace overcame a stress fracture in her back to turn in a dominant postseason run, helping Bound Brook to its second straight Central Group 1 championship and first state finals since 1999. Marusiak, who will pitch at Iona next year, went 15-5 with a 0.84 ERA this season, walking just 27 and striking out 134 in 117 innings. She also notched four doubles, a triple and three home runs to go with 24 RBIs.

CHLOE RODRIGUEZ

North Plainfield

Senior

Catcher

The former varsity baseball player had another monster season for the Canucks. She led the GMC with 51 hits this year and shared the lead with nine home runs, batting .671 and slugging 1.434 with 54 RBIs, 55 runs and 35 stolen bases. Over her two-year varsity career, she batted .679 and slugged 1.394 with 93 hits, 95 RBI, 17 home runs and 58 stolen bases. She possesses one of the best arms in the GMC, as well, and has an academic scholarship to attend Seton Hall in the fall.

LILY SANDHOLM

Governor Livingston

Senior

Third base

The Highlanders magical run to their first state sectional title since 2010 was fueled by a host of standouts getting big hits in big spots and the four-year starter was right at the forefront, as she was all year. Sandholm, who will play at FDU next season, ripped three triples and two home runs during the state tournament, finishing the season batting .495 with six doubles, five triples, six homers and 49 RBIs, scoring 27 runs and walking nine times.

ADRIANNA SIEDENBURG

Metuchen

Senior

Outfield

Siedenburg had a monster senior campaign against Red-Division pitching as she batted .551, slugged 1.011, had 49 hits, 50 RBIs. She also shared the GMC home-run lead with Chloe Rodriguez with nine. The senior had just 91 at bats over her first three varsity campaigns and nearly matched that with 89 at bats in 2026. She went 5-for-6 with eight RBIs against Middlesex - one of eight games she had with three or more hits -- and homered in five consecutive games at one juncture.

JOSIE VANORE

Sayreville

Senior

Pitcher/first base

The HNT Softball Player of the Year shattered the Sayreville school record with 445 career strikeout and set another standard for wins by going 19-3 this year with a 1.83 ERA and 183 strikeouts in 145 innings. Vanore was just as effective at the plate this year, batting .488 and slugging .643 with 41 hits and will continue her career at the University of Lynchburg.
