After another week of standout hoops, here are some of the best boys and girls basketball performances from the Skyland Conference, Greater Middlesex Conference and area Union County teams.

Ballot closes Saturday night at midnight
The senior center/forward had three double-doubles in wins over Highland Park, College Achieve Central and Belvidere. He had 15 points, 11 rebounds and four blocks in Saturday’s 86-55 win at Highland Park.

The Vikings have won three straight and four-of-five games. The senior had scoring games of 16, 16 and 12 points, respectively, in wins over Newton, American History and Central Jersey College Charter.
The second-year sophomore standout has been a major part of the Bombers 11-3 campaign, averaging 15.4 points and 14.6 rebounds. Some of her biggest performances came during last week’s 3-0 slate, with road wins over Highland Park, J.F. Kennedy and Matawan. Glazewski matched her single-game career high with 24 points Monday, to go with 18 rebounds, she tallied 19 points and 10 boards the next game, and finished with 13 points and 21 rebounds against Matawan on Saturday.
Girls basketball Greater Middlesex Conference Top 10, notes
The sophomore has kicked things up a notch in her second varsity season, among the Chiefs’ leaders in scoring (11.37 PPG) and best on the boards (14.3 RPG). Iduh was key during Piscataway’s three-game sweep of ranked teams last week, wins over Spotswood, Old Bridge and Middlesex, as she notched a double-double in each contest, finishing the week with 47 points and 40 boards in the three outings.
The four-year starter, who is approaching the 1,500-career-point mark, is having another stellar season for the Panthers, averaging 21.6 points and 9.9 rebounds per game. She was front and canter last week as Perth Amboy swept through Metuchen, Highland Park, J.F. Kennedy and Whippany Park, notching 16 points or more in each game, including 27 against the Owls and a 19-point, 10-rebound double-double against the Wildcats.
The athletic forward began the week with a career-high 29-point salvo as the Eagles dealt Metuchen its second loss of the seasons. That was the senior’s fifth, 20-point outing in a seven-game span and he leads Edison by averaging 19 points per game.
The senior guard posted his career high of 27 points twice in a three-game span in victories over North Plainfield and Edison. He had his first double-digit outing on Jan. 6 and has been in double-figures in seven-of-eight contests since to increase his scoring average to 10.9.
The senior has been a major force on the boards all season for the Terriers, averaging a team-high 10.6 rebounds per contest, but Simpson saved some of her best scoring work for last week’s three-game sweep of North Warren, Warren Hills and Phillipsburg. The veteran turned in three straight double-doubles, going for 10 points and 11 rebounds, respectively in the week’s first two games, before turning in a 13-point, 20-board performance against the Liners.
The senior four-year letterwinner has led the way for the rebuilding Eagles, especially as they posted their first two victories of the season last week to get off the schnide. Spreen, who had netted 10.1 points per game for the season, notched 20 points Thursday against Warren Tech for South Hunterdon’s first victory, before notching 12 points and six steals in a win over Central Jersey College Charter on Friday.
The three-year starting junior and recently welcomed member of the 1,000-point club had another big week for the Warriors as they rolled through Maryland’s Jackson Reed and then Phillipsburg and St. Rose. Sunkins, who is averaging 18.8 points and 11.5 rebounds per game, went for 17 points or more in all three contests last week, including a pair of doubles.
The Chargers’ leading scorer (20.4) has produced in double digits in all 14 of his outings this year, including 19 in a row dating back to last season. The senior dropped his career-high 29 in last week’s win over J.P. Stevens, capping a six-game span in which he scored 20 or more five times and averaged 23.8.
The senior guard notched 15 points, seven rebounds and five assists in the Big Blue’s 54-50 win over South Plainfield last week.
