How’s this for stepping up in the playoffs – Faigin went 2-0 in the Greater Middlesex Conference Jim Muldowney Tournament as the Falcons reached the final. The lefthander allowed one earned run in 14 innings with 26 strikeouts allowing 10 combined hits and walks.
JACOB HENDERSON

Henderson was on fire during his start in a 5-1 win against Highland Park in the GMC Ray Cipperly Invitational first round game. The junior struck out 18 in seven innings allowing a run off of five hits and a walk.
ZABDIEL LOPEZ
Perth Amboy

Lopez had a big week at the plate as Perth Amboy won twice and advanced to the GMC Ray Cipperly Invitational semifinals. He went a combined 6-for-8 with four RBIs and five stolen bases.
BRADY MEYER
Old Bridge
Junior
While Meyer has been good all season, look at his two starts in the GMCT. The righthander didn’t allow an earned run in 13 2/3 innings with 14 strikeouts as the Knights advanced to the GMCT final.
LOUIS RIZZOLO
St. Thomas Aquinas
Senior
Rizzolo has had a terrific career with over 250 strikeouts and a career 1.60 ERA in 170 2/3 innings. He helped the Trojans to the GMCT quarterfinals by going the distance against South Brunswick allowing two unearned runs with 13 strikeouts.
CHRIS TORTORELLA
Union Catholic
Sophomore
Hepitched 6 2/3 strong innings for the win and knocked in two runs to lead UC past Westfield 5-2 Saturday in a Union County Tournament semifinal. UC has made county final for second straight year.
DYLAN VERNICK
Voorhees
Senior
He pitched a complete game, two-hit shutout to lead his team to a 9-0 win over Warren Hills. Vernick has a 1.64 ERA in 42 2/3 innings this season.
