After an exciting start to the high school softball playoffs, it's time to look back on the best performances.

The freshman first baseman went 3-for-3 with a stolen base, three RBIs and three runs scored in a 7-2 win over West Essex in the North 1, Group 3 quarterfinals on May 29. Auerbach came through with run-scoring hits as the Mustangs scored three times in the second and three more times in the fourth. Auerbach also made an unassisted double play at first base in the bottom of the sixth with the bases loaded to stop a West Essex rally.
The senior pitcher struck out six across two innings and earned the win in an 11-1 win over Hackensack on May 26 in the first round of the North 1, Group 4 sectional tournament. Doyle also struck a grand slam as part of a 10-run first inning for the Golden Eagles. In the quarterfinals on May 28, Doyle tossed seven innings, allowing one hit and striking out a career-best 17 batters in a 7-0 win over West Orange.
The freshman third baseman paced the Wildcat offense in a pair of victories to guide Whippany Park to the North 2, Group 1 sectional semifinals. Hendricks went 2-for-4 with a triple, two stolen bases, an RBI and two runs scored in a 15-1 win over Bard on May 26. Hendricks went 1-for-4 and scored twice as Whippany Park scored seven times in the second inning in a 10-6 win over Cedar Grove on May 28 in the sectional quarterfinals.
The sophomore pitcher homered in consecutive games to set school records as the Marauders advanced to the North 1, Group 4 semifinals. Kilka drove in three runs and scored twice to go along with a home run in a 7-1 win over Clifton on May 26. Kilka struck a game-winning grand slam during a six-run seventh inning to push Mount Olive to a 6-2 win over Ridgewood on May 28. Kilka's seventh home run of the season set a new school record while her 38 RBIs for the season has also set a new school record. Kilka tossed 3.2 shutout innings in relief to earn the victory over Ridgewood.
The junior shortstop continues to swing a hot bat with a pair of multi-hit games to push the Scarlet Knights to the North 1, Group 3 sectional semifinals. Lagitch went 2-for-4 with a stolen base, an RBI and a run scored in a 7-1 win over Bergenfield on May 26. Lagitch went 3-for-5 with a pair of doubles, three RBIs and three runs scored as Morris Hills stunned No. 1 Ramapo, 11-7, on May 28. The Scarlet Knights scored nine runs in the top of the first to power the upset.
The senior pitcher struck out 14 and pitched her eighth career no-hitter in a 10-0 win over Dumont on May 26 in the first round of the North 1, Group 2 sectional tournament. Meyers also went 2-for-3 with three RBIs and two runs scored in the victory. In the sectional quarterfinals on May 28, Meyers had an RBI double in a 3-1 win over Demarest. Meyers allowed an unearned run on five hits and struck out nine batters in the win.
The sophomore pitcher struck out 16 in her second no-hitter of the season, a 9-0 win over Union City in the first round of the North 1, Group 4 sectional tournament on May 26. Murphy went 3-for-4 with a home run, four RBIs and two runs scored in the win. On May 28, Murphy struck out 10 while allowing two earned runs in an 11-4 win over Fair Lawn in the sectional quarterfinals. Murphy walked twice, stole two bases and scored two runs in the win.

Plunkett went 2-for-4 with a home run and a double with two RBIs in a 5-0 win over Parsippany Hills in the first round of the North 1, Group 2 sectional tournament on May 26. Plunkett went 2-for-3 with a double and a triple, scoring a run and driving in a run in a 10-3 loss to Passaic Valley on May 28.
The senior pitcher struck out six while allowing one earned run on three hits in a 5-2 win over Pingry on May 29 in the quarterfinals of the North, Non-Public A sectional tournament. Reisinger went 2-for-2 with a double, a stolen base, an RBI and a run scored.
The senior pitcher tossed a two-hit shutout and struck out 10 in a 9-0 win over Lakeland/Kinnelon in the first round of the North 1, Group 3 sectional tournament on May 26. Ribnicky struck out 10 more while allowing six hits across six shutout innings in a 10-0 win over River Dell in the sectional quarterfinals on May 29. Ribnicky drove in a pair of runs with a single and also scored a run in the win.
The sophomore infielder guided the red-hot Rams offense to a pair of runaway wins. Schmidt went 4-for-4 with three doubles and three runs scored in a 19-2 win over Teaneck in the first round of the North 1, Group 3 sectional tournament on May 26. Schmidt went 2-for-4 with an RBI and two runs scored in a 16-2 win over Old Tappan in the sectional quarterfinals on May 28.
The senior third baseman went 2-for-4 with a home run, a run scored and two RBIs in a 6-3 win over Montclair Kimberley on May 26. Waldrum hit a pair of home runs, scoring three times and driving in five during a 12-2 win over Madison in the North 2, Group 2 sectional quarterfinals on May 28.

Sydney Ribnicky, Roxbury
The senior pitcher tossed a two-hit shutout and struck out 10 in a 9-0 win over Lakeland/Kinnelon in the first round of the North 1, Group 3 sectional tournament on May 26. Ribnicky struck out 10 more while allowing six hits across six shutout innings in a 10-0 win over River Dell in the sectional quarterfinals on May 29. Ribnicky drove in a pair of runs with a single and also scored a run in the win.
Isabella Schmidt, Randolph
