It's time to vote for the Morris/Sussex Athlete of the Week!

Read about the performances that stood out and let us know who you think should be the Athlete of the Week in the poll at the bottom of this page.

Nominations were provided by coaches and are presented in alphabetical order. Voting closes at 5 p.m. Thursday.

Tessa Bowers​


Villa Walsh senior midfielder

Bowers totaled eight goals – including the 200th of her career – four assists, 18 draw controls and a forced turnover as Villa Walsh defeated Pope John and Cedar Grove.

Addison Fezenko​


Hackettstown senior midfielder

Fezenko had four goals, four draw controls and a ground ball as Hackettstown beat West Milford on April 7. Two days later in a Tigers win against Morris Hills, Fezenko had six goals – including the 100th of her career – an assists, two draw controls, two ground balls and a forced turnover.

Olivia Gaglione​


Morris Knolls junior golfer

Gaglione was the medalist as Morris Knolls defeated Westfield, Sparta and Chatham in dual matches, totaling just two strokes over par in the three matches. On Friday, she shot a 3-over 75 to finish seventh of 83 golfers, and help the Golden Eagles place seventh at the Red Devil Classic.

Jake Garofalo​


West Morris senior attack

Garofalo totaled nine goals and two assists as West Morris (6-0) topped Madison, Warren Hills and Bernards to stay undefeated.

Reagan Ghedina​


Park Regional sophomore midfielder

Ghedina, a Whippany Park sophomore, had seven goals and two assists, 28 draw controls, 26 ground balls and nine forced turnovers as the co-op (6-0) had victories against Mount St. Dominic, Caldwell and Livingston to stay undefeated.

George Tsamadias​


Sparta senior setter

Tsamadias had four kills, four blocks 13 digs, 62 assists and four aces in Sparta's victories against Jefferson, Delbarton and Vernon.

Emily Zegler​


Pequannock senior midfielder

Zegler totaled three goals and two assists, 22 draw controls, two ground balls and five forced turnovers as Pequannock defeated New Providence and Mount Olive.
