Congratulations to Hopkinton track and field junior Callie Owens, who earned 18,414 (54.6%) of 33,736 total votes to claim last week’s honor. Ashland softball’s Ava Vendetti received 13,812 votes to place second.

We compiled another impressive collection of candidates for Daily News Girls Athlete of the Week. Vote below. The poll will stay open until Sunday, May 24 at 6 p.m.

Lorelai Collette, Ashland softball​


The sophomore went 2-for-4 and hit a double in a win against Norwood on Monday.

Chloe Elder, Natick girls track & field​


The senior placed won the 800 at the MSTCA Coaches Metro Invitational on Saturday in a personal-best 2 minutes, 14.13 seconds.

Ashley Forster, Ashland lacrosse​


The senior helped the Clockers go 2-1 with 9 goals, 2 assists and season highs with 8 draw controls and 6 ground balls against Holliston.

Kacie Horn, Marlborough lacrosse​


She scored five goals with an assist in a victory over Assabet Valley for Marlborough’s first win of the season in the only game for the Panthers last week.


Brooke Laudate, AMSA softball​


The junior went 2-for-3 with an RBI and three runs against A-B Monday. Her 100th career hit was a go-ahead two-run home run in the seventh inning against Tantasqua on Wednesday. She also went 3-for-3 with a double and RBI against Uxbridge Friday.

Gigi Linton, Hopkinton girls golf​


The sophomore shot a season-best 37 and was medalist in a win over Wachusett on Friday.

Yumi Nimmi, Wayland tennis​


She secured a 3-2 win over Bromfield with a 7-6 (5), 2-6, 7-6 (5) victory.

Kathleen Perusse, Hudson lacrosse​


The senior scored five times in a win against Northbridge on Friday after totaling four goals Monday against AMSA.

Lucy Petralia, Westborough lacrosse​


The senior had four assists to break 200 career points in a one-goal win over Longmeadow, which is ranked No. 5 in Division 2, on Saturday.

Anastasia Quimby, Nipmuc lacrosse​


The freshman had five goals in a win over St. Bernard's.

Al Regnier, Westborough track & field​


The junior had a sensational week, winning four events against Shepherd Hill on Tuesday, placing first in the 100 hurdles, 400 hurdles, high jump and javelin. Regnier won three events at the District E Division 1 championship Saturday, where she won the 100 hurdles, long jump and the triple jump.

Amelia Rakitin, Franklin softball​


The junior drove in three runs on a 2-for-4 day in a win over Attleboro.

Sydney Roush, Hudson​


The sophomore had two hits and an RBI against Westborough on Wednesday. She added two more hits vs. Bay Bath on Saturday.

Neila Schweitzer, Tri-County softball​


She homered and had three RBIs on a 4-for-5 day in a win over Hull on Saturday.

Kendall Tom, Hopkinton lacrosse​


She totaled 3 goals, 3 assists, 2 ground balls and a caused turnover in a win against Dedham on Tuesday.

Addisen Trella, Tri-County lacrosse​


She totaled 2 goals, 5 assists, 7 draw controls and 4 ground balls in a win over Bristol Aggie on Tuesday. Trella added 5 goals, 7 draw controls, 4 caused turnovers, 3 ground balls and 2 assists against BVT on Friday.

Yanira Uribe, Marlborough track & field​


She won the shot put, javelin and 400 hurdles in a win over North Middlesex.

Lili Vitti, Ashland lacrosse​


The senior had two goals against Norwood on Wednesday to reach the 200-point plateau for her career. She scored six times with an assist in a win against Holliston on Thursday.

Norah Williamson, Algonquin softball​


She struck out five and allowed just four hits and a run in a 5-1 victory over Fitchburg on Friday. Williamson also scored three runs and doubled on a 2-for-4 day for the Titans (10-7). 3 for 4 with a triple and four runs against Marlborough on Wednesday.
