Who was the Milwaukee area's top prep athlete last week? You tell us.

You can vote for the Piggly Wiggly Milwaukee Journal Sentinel high school athlete of the week until 3 p.m. May 23. You don't have to be a subscriber to vote. Votes are limited to one per hour per device.

West Allis Hale's Alex McMillin was the winner of last week's poll.

You can make a nomination for a future player of the week by sending an email with statistics and context on their performance to [email protected] and [email protected]. Do not send votes to these addresses.

Brayden Alivo, Saint Thomas More baseball​


In a 4-1 week for the Cavaliers, the UW-Milwaukee commit was 11-for-18 from the plate with a double, two triples, a home run, two walks, 12 runs scored and five driven in while going 6-for-6 in stolen base opportunities.

Kevion Dickerson, Milwaukee Riverside/Golda Meir boys track and field​


Dickerson ran a top-five time in the state this season with a mark of 10.68 seconds in the 100-meter dash at the Bulldog Invite at Cedarburg High School on May 12 to help his co-op place second as a team at the event.

Claudia Mitich, Oconomowoc girls soccer​


The sophomore attacking mid scored five goals over a 2-0-1 week for the Raccoons. She began the week by scoring one goal in a 2-2 draw with Kettle Moraine on May 12. In an 8-0 win over Watertown on May 14, she scored three goals, including two in the first minute. On May 16, Mitich added one goal in a 9-1 win over Wauwatosa West, also scored in the first minute.

Mercedes Mullen, Whitnall softball​


Mullen tallied her 100th career hit last week for the Falcons, helping Whitnall clinch its fourth straight Woodland (East) Conference title. The Falcons went 4-1 during a five-game week with Mullen tallying six hits, including a pair of doubles. She went 3-for-4 in the title-clinching 11-0 victory over Greenfield on May 14.

Jack Templeton, Wauwatosa East baseball​


Templeton batted .625 on the week with five hits including three doubles, a triple, three RBIs and two runs scored. His week included a bottom of the ninth walk-off single in a 9-8 win over Catholic Memorial on May 16. He also earned the win on the mound in a 15-4 victory over Waukesha South on May 14, throwing four innings with four strikeouts.
