It's time to vote for the Montgomery Advertiser's girls Athlete of the Week presented by the Vance Law Firm for the week of Feb. 21-27.
This weeks nominees include three basketball players and two softball players as the spring season is starting to gain traction.
Three of the nominees were named their respective tournaments MVP in AHSAA regional basketball finals.
Voting will open Sunday, March 1, and will be open until noon Thursday, March 5. The winner will be announced on Friday, March 6. Nominees are based off of top performers that are sent in by high school coaches or statisticians. Coaches and team stat keepers can send in stats to [email protected] to nominate players.

Montgomery Advertiser's Girls Athlete of the Week nominees presented by Vance Law Firm for Feb. 21-27
- Saint James' Natalie Barton - 18 points, 12 rebounds, three steals and three assists in the AHSAA 3A Central Regional final. Barton was named the tournament's MVP.
- Montgomery Catholic's Hannah Smith - 19 points, 10 rebounds, four steals and one assist in the AHSAA 4A Central Regional final. Smith was named the tournament's MVP.
- Park Crossing's Maliyah Meeks - 18 points, 14 rebounds and one assist in the AHSAA 6A South Regional final. Meeks was named the tournament's MVP.
- Brewbaker Tech's Kyra Wallace - 3-for-6 with seven RBIs and three walks at the plate. Wallace also grabbed two wins on the pitcher's mound.
- Prattville's Haylee Jackson - 3-for-3 with two home runs and seven RBIs in Prattville's tournament on Saturday, Feb. 21.
