Despite a shortened schedule during the holiday week, there still were several outstanding team and individual performances. That produced for us nine candidates for Girls Lacrosse Player of the Week, presented by White Plains Hospital.

Last week’s poll winner was Sofia Conners of Somers.

Read below about what the nominees accomplished last week, then cast your votes. The poll will be open until 3 p.m. Wednesday, April 8 and the winner will be featured on lohud sports social media accounts.

Faith Brown, Pleasantville​


The midfielder had five goals, three assists, nine draw controls and two caused turnovers for the Panthers in a 17-8 win over Somers.

LuLu Carey, Pearl River​


The freshman scored four goals for the Pirates in an 8-6 win over Harrison last Tuesday.

Fin Degl, John Jay-Cross River​


The midfielder had six goals and an assist to lead the Wolves in a 16-14 win over Wappingers last Tuesday. She also scored five goals in their 18-8 win over Mahopac.

Brooke Green, Pelham​


The sophomore had three goals and an assist for the Pelicans in a 15-7 win over Albertus Magnus. She also scored four goals in their 12-11 loss to Rye Country Day School.

Michaela Kaltsas, Fox Lane​


She had three goals and three assists in the Foxes' 14-4 win over Section 2's Guilderland.

Elle Mason, Rye Country Day School​


The junior scored a career-high eight goals to lead the Wildcats' in a 12-11 comeback win over Pelham last Thursday. She also had five goals and six draw controls in their win over Hamden Hall.

Sophie Olsey, Harrison​


She had three goals and two groundballs and played well in the midfield for the Huskies, despite a close 8-6 loss to Pearl River.

Ava Ryan, Yorktown​


She five goals, three assists and a caused turnover for the Huskers in an 18-7 win over Mamaroneck. Ryan also had four goals and two assists to lead them in a 12-11 win over Bronxville.

Kyla Zamprelli, Clarkstown South​


The junior, who is playing goalkeeper for the first time this season, stopped 20 of the 36 shots she faced in two games last week. Zamprelli made seven saves in the Vikings' 11-4 win over Nanuet on April 1.
