Here are The Arizona Republic's picks for the top 10 high school girls track and field athletes from the fifth week of the 2026 season (March 23-28). Both wind-legal and non-wind legal marks were considered.
1. Gabbie Banning, Scottsdale Chaparral, multis, Sr.
She won the heptathlon at the Brophy Fr. Olivier Invitational on March 27, scoring 4,912 points to set the state and national lead.
2. Kyra Hogarth, Chandler, jumps, Jr.
She won the pole vault at the Brophy Fr. Olivier Invitational on March 27, clearing 12 feet, 4 inches to set the state lead.
3. Brailyn Clouse, ALA Queen Creek, throws, Sr.
She won the shot put at the Brophy Fr. Olivier Invitational on March 27, throwing 41-8.5 to set the state lead.
4. Bryn Kupfer, Snowflake, jumps, Jr.
She won the high jump at the Brophy Fr. Olivier Invitational on March 27, clearing 5-6.5 to move up to No. 2 in the state.
5. Ryane Ast, Waddell Canyon View, mid-distance, Sr.
She won the 800 meters at the Brophy Fr. Olivier Invitational on March 27, running 2:12.74 to move up to No. 3 in the state.
6. Audra Huempfner, Gilbert Highland, distance, Sr.
She won the 1,600 at the Sentinel Invite Southwest Distance Festival on March 28, running 5:01.41 to move up to No. 3 in the state.
7. Saleiah Dotson, Maricopa, jumps, Sr.
She won the triple jump at a qualifier meet on March 24, hitting 37-2 (+3.2 wind) to move up to No. 2 in the state for all-conditions.
8. Tatum Lee, Phoenix Desert Vista, throws, Sr.
She came in second in the shot put at the Brophy Fr. Olivier Invitational on March 27, throwing 39-3 to move up to No. 3 in the state.
9. Kyana Williams, Chandler Hamilton, jumps, Sr.
She came in second in the high jump at the Brophy Fr. Olivier Invitational on March 27, clearing 5-6 to move up to No. 4 in the state.
10. Nya Campbell, Queen Creek, jumps, Sr.
She won the pole vault at the Ron Smith Classic on March 27, clearing 11-8 to move up to No. 4 in the state.
11. Nikki Senczakowicz-Gibo, Phoenix Sandra Day O’Connor, hurdles, Sr.
She won the 300-meter hurdles at the Ron Smith Classic on March 27, running 44.12 to move up to No. 5 in the state.
12. Maclane Clark, Gilbert Perry, hurdles, Sr.
She won the 100-hurdles at the Toro Invite on March 27, running 14.54 (+3.0 wind) to move up to No. 4 in the state for all-conditions.
13. Taleya Freeman, Chandler Hamilton, sprints, Sr.
She won the 200 at the Brophy Fr. Olivier Invitational on March 27, running 24.41 to move up to No. 5 in the state.
14. Saylor McMillon, Phoenix North Canyon, sprints, Sr.
She came in second in the 400 at the Ron Smith Classic on March 27, running 56.76 to move up to No. 7 in the state.
15. Emma Gibbs, Paradise Valley The Jones-Gordon School, throws, Jr.
She won the discus at the Bulldogs Jaguar Invite on March 28, throwing 119-0 to move up to No. 6 in the state.
