Alpine skiing superstar Lindsey Vonn has donated the stuffed animals she received as gift after her injury at the Milan/Cortina Winter Olympics.
According to the Ansa news agency, Vonn made a donation to the children's ward of the Ca'Foncello Hospital in Treviso, where she had been under treatment since February 8.
Before being discharged from hospital, Vonn made a video saying she had received a lot of stuffed animals, including a shark pillow she had under her head.
After coming out of retirement, the 41-year-old's main goal was another Olympic downhill gold at Milan/Cortina 2026, 16 years after her first. But her race lasted 13 seconds on February 8 before a big crash and a big injury.
Since then, she has undergone four surgeries on her broken leg and more are expected once she returns to the United States.
