Jordan Addison's tenure with the Minnesota Vikings has been tumultuous to say the least. On the field, he has been a welcome addition, posting 175 receptions for 2,396 yards and 22 touchdowns in his three years with the organization. However, he has had a litany of off-the-field issues that have raised questions surrounding his status with the franchise this offseason. He has been firmly placed in the rumor mill, but will he be traded?
Bleacher Report recently published an article listing players who should be traded but won't, and Addison is one of them. He's listed as a should because he's a player Minnesota can't afford next year, as his fifth-year option is coming up, and money is tight as it is.
Plus, all the legal issues he has found himself in have been a distraction for the Vikings.
He is listed as a won't because Minnesota wouldn't want to take away viable options for J.J. McCarthy as he continues his development into an NFL starter, especially with Addison on a rookie contract. But Minnesota will need to make a decision in the near future, as that option is just 12 months away.
Bleacher Report's projected trade cost is a third-round pick, which, given the distraction he has become, would likely be viewed as a steal for Minnesota.
