New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye and wide receiver A.J. Brown had the top highlight through the three days of mandatory minicamp on Thursday.
The duo connected on a corner end zone touchdown during the competitive 11-on-11 period. Maye had perfect placement on the ball, throwing it before Brown even turned his head to locate it. The three-time All-Pro receiver had safety Craig Woodson completely boxed out before leaping into the air in a twisting motion to haul in the pass and get two feet down into the end zone.
It was one of those wow plays that typically comes from a quarterback and a wide receiver who have spent a significant amount of time with one another. However, Maye and Brown have been together for less than two weeks, and they've already started building a strong connection.
The Patriots found Maye a top wide receiver last season with the addition of Stefon Diggs.
It would seem as if they are looking to take that to another level this season with Brown and veteran wideout Romeo Doubs in the mix. The Patriots' offense is going to be a tough out regardless of the 2026 schedule.
