A.J. Brown apparently has been as advertised since joining the Patriots.
The star receiver showed out during organized team activities (OTAs) after joining New England via trade with the Philadelphia Eagles. And Brown was equally impressive this week during mandatory minicamp, reportedly delivering multiple touchdowns in team periods.
The Patriots even shared a video of a particularly impressive Brown touchdown from Thursday's minicamp finale. As you'll see in the clip below, quarterback Drake Maye lobbed a ball toward the corner of the end zone, and Brown made an impressive adjustment to come down with the ball.
Obviously, these are just minicamp practices with no pads and zero contact. But the sessions have offered an early glimpse at what could be one of the NFL's top quarterback-receiver duos next season.
The Patriots will now enjoy a lengthy summer break before returning in late July for training camp.
