Victor Wembanyama is a confident guy, and that was apparent, and useful, when the San Antonio Spurs were in the NBA Finals. His stellar Finals performance wasn't enough to get them over the top, but it was certainly impressive.

But, sometimes confidence turns to delusion, and that may be the case with a claim that he made about his shooting abilities.

Of course, Wembanyama is one of the most gifted young players in the NBA. But, this claim is a bit much.

During a Q&A with French content creator Rookicks, the Spurs favorite was asked if he could score more than 100 points in a single game. Even LeBron James and Michael Jordan haven't done that.

Victor Wembanyama makes a lofty claim​

"I think you can score more than 100 points in a single game. Do you agree with me?" Rookicks asked.

"I agree, yeah," the player responded.

Now, the interviewer set up that answer, for certain. But, Wembanyama agreed, so there you have it.

Elsewhere in the chat, Rookicks asked, "Is there a 'Wemby private story' on Instagram? Like, you vlog your life a bit, share with your friends and all?"

That was a no. "Not even. Just my close friends directly," Wembanyama said.

When asked if there was a French teammate he would like to bring to the Spurs, the player said, "Off the top of my head, I'd say Evan Fournier."

Finally, when asked for the main thing Wembanyama has worked on this summer, the player responded, "I can't tell you." So, it appears he's been doing some secret practicing that fans will get to see come October.
