The Boston Celtics are going to look quite different in the 2026-27 NBA season.

Most notably, of course, they traded away Jaylen Brown, and they brought aboard Paul George in return in that deal from the Philadelphia 76ers.

They've also signed veterans like Mitchell Robinson and Mike Conley to improve their roster, as well.

So despite losing Brown, the expectations won't be too low for the season ahead.

After all -- a core of Jayson Tatum, Derrick White, Payton Pritchard, Neemias Queta, Robinson and George is a solid place to start.

And considering that Tatum is at full health, he could come out playing at a particularly high level.

That has the Vegas oddsmakers feeling pretty good about the Celtics right now.

Celtics projected win total

DraftKings Sportsbook has set the Celtics' win total over/under for 2026-27 at 51.5.

Only one team in the Eastern Conference is higher. The Knicks' over/under is set at 53.5.

Notably, the 76ers have an over/under set a bit lower, at 48.5.

In the West, the Oklahoma City Thunder lead with an over/under of 60.5 wins.

The San Antonio Spurs are just behind at 59.5.

In some ways, it seems like a shoo-in for Boston: They won 56 games in 2025-26 even without much Tatum.

Yes, they won't have Brown, but downgrading from him to George while adding a full season of Tatum gives Boston a great chance to reach the number here.
