Vega Ioane Flips the Switch When He Steps on the Field

There's a different side to Vega Ioane when the pads come on, and he explained it perfectly. Ioane described the mindset that takes over once he steps between the lines.

“For me, it's a switch that's taken me a while to perfect. When I'm off the field, I can turn it off and be chill with the guys, be calm with the guys and just kick it. But when I'm on the field, nobody is going to stand in front of me and survive. That's my biggest mentality. I'm out there trying to move people off the ball, make them not get to my quarterback. That's always been my mentality. But, it's a switch for me that I've been working on for a while, and it's doing pretty well.”

For Vega Ioane, that ability to flip a switch is exactly what makes him such a natural fit in Baltimore. The Baltimore Ravens have long valued offensive linemen who play with controlled aggression, and Ioane's approach reflects that continued identity. Calm off the field but relentless between the lines, he brings the kind of edge and physical presence that should translate quickly as he begins his NFL career.

That's the edge you need in this division. Controlled aggression and knowing when to unleash it.
