India A had just suffered a dramatic Super Over defeat to Sri Lanka A, and the mood inside the dressing room was heavy. Sooryavanshi had endured a challenging night after failing with the bat and finding himself at the centre of a heated exchange during the Super Over.
When he finally emerged from the dressing room, he looked drained as the evening had taken its toll. Then Sooryavanshi spotted Tennekoon waiting for him, and without hesitation, the 15-year-old walked over, bent down and touched the feet of the veteran.

However, Tennekoon immediately pulled him into a warm embrace. The conversation that followed was short but carried enormous weight.

Sooryavanshi receives massive admiration from Tennekoon
Speaking to Sportstar, Tennekoon was unguarded in his appreciation for what Sooryavanshi has already shown the world.
"I was really impressed by his batting in the IPL. And hitting those sixes and fours the way he does is something unbelievable. I hope he continues in this way," Tennekoon said.
