USC Upstate defeats Longwood 8-1 win Big South Baseball Tournament title

Boiling Springs, NC –

After falling to Longwood 4-1 in game one of Sunday’s Big South Baseball Tournament championship, USC Upstate responded with an 8-1 victory in the winner take all game two of the day to claim a 2nd straight tourney title.

Wiley Waters hit a 2-run homer in game two and was named tournament MVP.

The Spartans will find out early Monday afternoon where they will be heading for the opening weekend of the NCAA Tournament.
