Buckeye preseason camp doesn't open up for 3 more days and he is on staff as Urban's DC. Meyer's legal team is most likely negotiating a golden parachute for Urban. Wouldn't be prudent to name anyone yet. Then why isn't he the head man while Meyer is on 'leave'?

Urban Meyer will get a 4 game suspension.
Urban Meyer has been placed on administrative leave by Ohio State while the university investigates whether or not he knew about repeated domestic violence allegations against a member of his staff, and that may only be the start of the issues for the longtime coach.
Project Veritas, a media company dedicated to exposing corruption, conducted interviews with some of Meyer’s former players at Florida who claim the practices Meyer and his staff used were abusive. In clips that were released by Project Veritas president James O’Keefe, ex-Gators are shown making some troubling claims about Meyer, including that at least one player did not receive proper treatment for a serious injury.
One former player, ex-Florida offensive tackle Xavier Nixon, said Meyer had a “tradition” where he would whip a full bottle of Gatorade at players
. Former Gators linebacker Gideon Ajagbe said Meyer and his staff “humiliated” him to the point where he was suicidal...
and it just got worse.

Really. Those 30 + players arrested by Urban's squads @ Florida don't count? The ones he covered up, including domestic violence, sexual assault, weapons charges, etc. This event is just another in a long line of cover ups by Urban. Not in the same league of coverup
A few days after Zach’s 2009 arrest, Courtney said two of Meyer’s closest friends – Hiram de Fries and Earle Bruce – asked her to drop the charges. Bruce is Zach Smith’s grandfather, de Fries is Meyer’s “life coach.”
Photos that Courtney said she shared via text with other wives show bruises on Courtney’s neck and arms from beatings she suffered in 2014 and 2015. Another photo shows blood gushing out of her thumb when Zach cut her with the metal top of a smokeless tobacco can after another 2014 incident.
Ohio State's Urban Meyer is not leading his team in fall camp. The Ohio State head coach was put on paid administrative leave last week while the university investigates what knowledge he had, and if he reported anything he did know correctly, involving accusations that former wide receivers coach Zach Smith committed domestic violence on his now ex-wife back in 2015. In his place stepped Ryan Day, the Buckeyes' offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach, who was promoted to acting head coach on Aug. 1, the day Meyer was put on leave.
The thought of most Ohio State fans was that Meyer, while not physically at practice, which began on Aug. 3, would still have his presence felt at fall camp by watching tape and communicating with his assistants. According to a report from Cleveland.com's Bill Landis, that is not the case. Landis reported on Thursday that Meyer "is not permitted any contact with players, coaches or staff members while he's on paid administrative leave pending a university investigation." This was confirmed to Cleveland.com by Ohio State's associate vice president for university communications, Christopher Davies.
According to Landis, Meyer does not have access to any university-issued communication devices or his school email account and is also not permitted on campus property, including the Woody Hayes Athletic Center, where the football team does much of its practicing, and the football offices.
