The Philadelphia 76ers took another loss on Thursday as they fell to the Houston Rockets 113-102 for their third straight loss. When combined with the loss of Joel Embiid to appendicitis and the fact that they didn't get any help from the Miami Heat as they fell to the Toronto Raptors, things look bleak for Philadelphia at the moment.

The Sixers are now tied with the Charlotte Hornets for the No. 8 seed and are only in front of Charlotte due to them owning the tiebreaker heading into the final two games of the season. Philadelphia is now a full game back of the Orlando Magic for the No. 7 seed, but it does own the tiebreaker over the Magic should it come down to that.
