right?
why dont people understand that?
I mean, the fact that at least one team has done something the rest don’t want to do flies in the face of league-wide collusion.

Just because they all believe in taking the same action doesn’t mean they’ve all explicitly agreed to take the same action. You need agreement for collusion to exist.

Burrow, Chase & Higgins are not only proven vets, but stars. It makes perfect sense for a guy in their situation to hire a pitbull agent to strong arm a known tightwad organization.
But not a rookie who has only proven (1.) Jack, and (2.) crap, in the NFL.
What it shows is a priority to "Get Mine" rather than a dedication to "Get Better" and prove one's value.
You’ve been a Cardinal fan too long. Defending an organization like the bengals…

A little movement
This should get the ball rolling.

Sets a precedent that 100% garanteed stops before #43 and a baseline for how much to bump the garanteed % at #43.

Makes it easier for the Cardinals to sign Johnson. Tyler Nubin had 66% of his contract garanteed last year, so that will probably jump to 75%-ish for Johnson with this.

The big hurdle now is for the teams that drafted 35-42, because where will the 100% stop?

At that’s just it.

Guaranteed contracts will be a thing in the NFL no matter how much owners want to fight it.
Already are. We shall see if FULLY guaranteed contracts happen outside of Cleveland.

More like weeks or even post opening game.
These are cheap shots. Bob Ferguson was the VP Football Operations when Andre Wadsworth held out. Graves wasn't even with the Cards then.

Bryant Johnson, Calvin Pace, Antrel Rolle, Matt Leinart and others were notably late to training camp.

that was a combo of the org, and, just what happened back then

kinda silly how much mental anguish it caused me back in the day

It's getting closer! I'm saying $9.4M with $7.5 guaranteed unless he feels he is wronged by falling into the 2nd round - he may want more guaranteed.

Burden at #39 get fully garanteed.
Taylor at #42 does not.

12 players remain unsigned.

Only 40-41 should be difficult

Did you calculate or just guess? Impressive guess if just guessing.

Did the calculation based on signed contracts this year and Nubin’s from last year.

I get 9.419M total deal with 7.346M garanteed.

Ezeiruaku got 80.9% garanteed. That will most likely be the ceiling for Johnson meaning 7.556M garanteed.
